Channel your inner Girl Scout and spend the day at Camp Nawakwa—a former Girl Scout camp turned youth camp where adventure and nostalgia meet. Your morning begins with a guided hike either within the 75-acre Northwoods camp property or along the Harwood Lakes Segment. After lunch (included), slip onto the water for an afternoon paddle; canoes and kayaks are provided, so all you need to bring is your sense of fun.
In case of inclement weather, don’t worry—indoor camp crafts and classic games will keep the good vibes going.
The Ice Age Trail Alliance is delighted to partner with Our Nawakwa, Inc. (ON), a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to preserving the camp’s youth-serving legacy. In January 2024, Our Nawakwa became the proud owners of Camp Nawakwa, ensuring the magic continues and children can grow healthier through nature for generations to come.
Want the full camp experience? Stay overnight in one of the rustic cabins, yurts, lodges, and extend your getaway. Contact Our Nawakwa directly to make lodging accommodations for this event, www.ournawakwarentalportal.org.
Registration will close Monday, August 17 or when it reaches capacity.
Registration fee is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may have someone else come in your place or we will consider it a donation to the Ice Age Trail Alliance.
